Awantipora : The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) marked the continuation of its 20th Foundation Week with a variety of activities focused on academic, cultural, entrepreneurial, and community outreach initiatives.
The day began with the inauguration of the art exhibition “Praznaw – The Bloom of New Art” by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shakil A. Romshoo at the Wastoorwan Gallery of Art, Rumi Library. This exhibition, organized in collaboration with Hunar Gaah, Srinagar, showcased a rich array of artistic expressions, including paintings, calligraphy, portraiture, abstract works, and stone sculptures by Kashmiri artists, celebrating and preserving local art traditions. Additionally, the Department of Business Studies, in partnership with CIED IUST, hosted a two-day Business Festival that brought together 50 student entrepreneurs, four alumni innovators, and four established enterprises. This festival provided a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and the presentation of student-led business ideas, attracting nearly 500 students from various educational institutions who engaged with the participants.
