Waqf Board Chief pays obeisance at the shrines Darbar-e-Aasariya, Darbar-e-Faridia on Annual Urs
Srinagar: Chairperson Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Monday inaugurated the Waqf Relief & Rescue (WRR) Platform at a function held at Waqf Complex in Kishtwar. This new platform is the first of its kind in whole of the Waqf network throught India.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Darakhshan emphasized that the Waqf Board serves as a people’s organization, aiming to enhance disaster management efforts to assist those in need. Andrabi highlighted that the Waqf Relief Response (WRR) initiative is expected to inspire similar efforts across India, thereby increasing the organization’s societal relevance. Plans are underway to integrate digital and technological tools into this platform to improve its effectiveness. During the Annual Urs celebrations at Darbar-e-Aasariya and Darbar-e-Faridia, the Waqf Chairperson participated in the Chhader-Poshi ceremony at the Sufi shrines of Shah Asrar-ud-din and Shah Farid-ud-din (RA), praying for the peace and prosperity of the community. In her media interactions, Andrabi reaffirmed the Waqf Board’s commitment to ongoing transformation and development at all Waqf-managed shrines in Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to persist in their mission despite challenges.
