Poonch: A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA was held Saturday in the Conference Hall of the DC Office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma.

During the meeting, the Committee approved 284 new cases, marking another major milestone in promoting entrepreneurship, self-employment and youth empowerment under the Mission YUVA initiative.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Employment, Abdul Majid Tantray and other members of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU). The members actively participated in the deliberations and shared valuable inputs to enhance transparency and efficiency in the implementation process.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders for the timely processing and disbursement of approved cases. He reiterated that Mission YUVA is not merely a financial support program but a transformative initiative aimed at empowering youth and fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned departments to maintain block-wise, panchayat-wise and activity-wise records of sanctioned cases for effective monitoring and evaluation. He also instructed the Bank Representatives to ensure speedy disbursement of approved cases to facilitate early start of beneficiary ventures.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all DLIC and SBDU members to work with renewed dedication and integrity toward making Poonch district a model of youth empowerment and entrepreneurship in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
