Rajouri : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) on Friday celebrates 150th anniversary of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’. This occasion highlighted themes of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to honor a song that has played a pivotal role in India’s freedom movement and continues to represent national unity.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal emphasized the importance of ‘Vande Mataram’ as more than just a song, describing it as the essence of the nation’s identity that transcends regional, linguistic, and religious barriers. He called for a renewed commitment to the values of unity, harmony, and dedication to the motherland as the nation reflects on the song’s enduring significance.
