Batote: The Area Marketing Officer-Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department Ramban, in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ramban and the Agriculture Department, organized a one-day awareness programme at Dharmoon- Batote.
The event focused on Natural Farming, Marketing Linkages, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jammu and Kashmir Comprehensive Investment Plan (JKCIP), PMFME and other departmental schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Area Marketing Officer, Tehsin Iqbal Chib elaborated in detail the departmental initiatives launched to strengthen the marketing network and promote farmer-oriented programmes in the district.
Scientist KVK, Dr. Parveen Kumar delivered an informative lecture on Natural Farming, explaining the preparation and use of microbial formulations such as Jeevamrit and Beejamrit. He urged farmers to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices to improve soil fertility and ensure long-term productivity.
Officers from the Agriculture Department also briefed the participants about various farmer welfare schemes and technological interventions being implemented under HADP and other centrally sponsored programmes to improve livelihood opportunities in the farming sector.
A large number of farmers participated in the event and interacted with the experts regarding the benefits and implementation of natural farming and departmental initiatives.
