Jammu: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Arun Manhas Wednesday convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for Mathwar Mela to be held from January 20- 22, 2018.
ADC asked the security agencies to ensure fool proof arrangements in and around the venue, besides proper barricading the area. The officers of Traffic Police Department were asked to make suitable arrangements for parking and smooth movement of vehicles in the area.
The ADC directed the officers of PDD and PHE department to ensure uninterrupted power supply and drinking water at the shrine during mela days. Executive Engineer PHE Rural was further asked to provide water tanks with taps at the venue.
The Health Department was directed to setup a medical camp at Mathwar and to station an ambulance with mobile medical unit at the mela site.
Block Development Officer Mathwar was asked to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in and around the shrine.
During the meeting, the Floriculture department was directed to beautify the main chowk Aghore and Kotli on the day of celebration.
ADC asked the officers to work in close coordination and synergy to ensure smooth conduct of the mela.
Among others, Executive Engineer PHE, PDD, R&B, Police Officers, officials of various departments and representatives of religious organizations were present in the meeting.
