Jammu : The Directorate of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu Friday celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at Krishi Bhawan to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event was organized to reaffirm the spirit of unity, integrity and self-reliance among all officers and staff of the department.
Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Jammu Anil Gupta led a solemn pledge with officers and staff reaffirming their commitment to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of the nation. The solemn atmosphere reflected a deep sense of national pride and dedication to the ideals of unity and service.
Among others present included Director Law Enforcement J&K S. Balbir Singh; Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB/Farms) Jammu Dr. Aman Jyoti Sharma; Deputy Director Agriculture (Central) Jammu Sanjeev Rai Gupta along with all sectoral heads, senior officers and staff members of the Directorate.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Agriculture Jammu said that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas reminds us of the visionary leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a monumental role in unifying India after independence.
The event concluded with the message that true tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel lies in fostering harmony, working with a spirit of collective progress and building an agriculture sector that supports the dream of a “Viksit Bharat – Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
