Affidavits of contesting candidates uploaded on CEO’s website

Jammu/March,31:The affidavits of candidates,   in fray for contesting bye-elections of 3-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, have been uploaded on the official website of Chief Electoral Office here Friday.
There were 7 candidates whose nomination papers were found valid after scrutiny and on the day of withdrawal of nominations one candidate withdrew his candidature. Now, six candidates are in fray for contesting Anantnag bye- elections.
The affidavits submitted by the candidates contained information about criminal antecedent, if any, details of assets, financial and liabilities and personal bio-data with educational qualification.  Besides, the copies of affidavits are available on Chief Electoral Officer’s website ceojk.nic.in, these have also been displayed on the notice board in the office of the Returning Officer.
Pertinently, the affidavits filed by the contesting candidates are uploaded on the website of CEO immediately after the list of contesting candidates is finalized.
Meanwhile, the office of Chief Electoral Officer has also uploaded the affidavits of candidates who filed nominations for contesting Biennial elections of Member of Legislative Council on its website.
