Ganderbal : The National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Studies (DTS) at the Central University of Kashmir, organized a seminar titled “Towards a Sustainable Future: Rethinking Waste Management Practices” at the Green Campus.
The event was part of the Swachhotsav initiative, an outreach campaign by the Ministry of Education, aimed at promoting sustainable habits and responsible waste management, particularly among the youth. Dr. Kaukab Azeem, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Chairperson of Swachhotsav, emphasized that the seminar’s goal was to foster critical thinking and action-oriented discussions on sustainability. He highlighted the importance of viewing waste not as an endpoint but as a resource that can be recycled and repurposed, urging individuals to rethink their waste management habits.
