Srinagar : The Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir on Saturday convened a one-day Zonal Level Conference at the Police Control Room, aimed at implementing the recommendations from the DGPs/IGPs Conference-2024. The conference served as a platform for young officers to exchange innovative ideas and perspectives on contemporary policing challenges.

The attendees at the conference included high-ranking officials such as the DGP J&K, IGPs, and various senior officers from different divisions. Discussions during the conference centered on critical issues such as crowd management, cyber patrolling, investigations of NDPS cases, dark web crimes, prison radicalization, and emerging cybersecurity threats. The officers focused on strategies to enhance operational frameworks, improve inter-agency coordination, and adopt proactive measures to address evolving security challenges.

In his inaugural address, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi emphasized the necessity for adaptive, technology-driven, and community-oriented policing. He underscored the significance of innovation, collaboration, and capacity-building in maintaining public trust and ensuring effective law enforcement. Senior officers shared their field experiences and best practices, highlighting modern investigative and operational methods. The conference concluded with a commitment to strengthen coordination, expand capacity-building initiatives, and integrate modern technologies into core policing functions. Additionally, directions were issued for the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas across all Police Stations in the Kashmir Zone to foster unity and national integration.
