Week long outreach Prog on Ayushman Bharat scheme for Migrants concludes at New Delhi

Relief & Rehab Commissioner participates in concluding ceremony, also reviews arrangements for migrant voters

New Delhi | Oct, 17: The week-long outreach camp organized by the Relief Organization, J&K, in collaboration with the J&K State Health Agency (SHA) in Delhi NCR area concluded successfully on Friday.

The outreach camp was held in Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, and other areas, in which more than 400 new families were enrolled under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, and the members of many already enrolled families were added. Facilitation regarding various Government schemes and services being offered by the Relief Organization was also provided in these special camps.

The camp was held under the overall supervision of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), J&K, Dr. Arvind Karwani, who was assisted by Assistant Commissioner (Relief), Kailash Devi; officers of SHA and Relief Organization.

Dr. Karwani also interacted with the social activists and representatives of various organizations of Kashmiri migrants at New-Delhi and patiently listened to their suggestions/ grievances related to immovable properties of migrants in Kashmir Valley, development of robust database of migrants and various services being offered by the Relief Organization. There was a general demand that more such outreach programmes be organized in future.

On the occasion, Dr Karwani also reviewed arrangements for the Kashmiri Migrant voters based in New-Delhi for the Bye Election of Budgam Assembly Constituency, which is going to polls on 11-11-2025 with Assistant Returning Officer Delhi.

Dr Karwani impressed upon ARO and his team to reach out to the migrants and create voter awareness and offer all possible facilitation to them for smooth voting process.

He was informed that four special polling stations have been established for the facility of Kashmiri migrant voters in Delhi.
