Baramulla | : In a progressive step towards empowering the youth and fostering economic self-reliance, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Baramulla, has approved 350 entrepreneurship proposals under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative.
This milestone reflects the district administration’s commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and nurturing entrepreneurial talent among young people.
The meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, witnessed the approval of 350 cases under the Nano scheme. These projects will receive comprehensive financial and institutional support, enabling young entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into viable enterprises across sectors such as services, retail, manufacturing, and innovation-driven businesses.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized that youth are the cornerstone of socio-economic progress and urged all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure efficient implementation, timely release of funds, and sustained mentoring support. He encouraged all stakeholders to actively contribute toward enabling young innovators to become catalysts for growth and development in the district.
The DC also directed the Lead District Manager and Cluster Heads to closely monitor Branch Managers to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement of approved cases. A branch-wise report will be shared with higher authorities of J&K Bank to address delays in approvals.
Additionally, a control room will be set up at the DC office to coordinate with BHDs and SBDU to streamline the implementation of Mission YUVA at the district level.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Employment, Functional Manager DIC, DDM NABARD, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank Baramulla, Career Counselling Officer, and Employment Officer, DE&CC Baramulla.
