Orientation Prog for Business Help Desks, YUVA DOOTs held at Ramban

Ramban| :  The District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) RambanThursday organized a comprehensive Orientation Programme for Business Help Desk (BHD) members and YUVA DOOTs at the District Headquarter. The programme aimed at strengthening outreach and service delivery under the Mission YUVA initiative aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among youth.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan inaugurated the event in presence of Joint Director Employment Jammu Paramjeet Singh.

As many as 62 YUVA DOOTs, drawn from the Rural Development Department, Agriculture Department and NRLM attended the session. They were assigned specific panchayats and municipal wards across Ramban, Banihal, Batote, Gool, Khari, Ukhral and Rajgarh blocks to ensure wider coverage of employment awareness campaigns under Mission YUVA.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak (District Nodal Officer- Mission YUVA); SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed; SDM Banihal Mohammad Naseeb Bajraan; SDM Ramsoo Sayed Muzahir Hussain Shah; Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar, bankers and functionaries from other stakeholder departments  also attended the event.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the crucial role of YUVA DOOTs and BHDs in connecting unemployed youth with self-employment and livelihood schemes. He emphasized that these grassroots-level functionaries are instrumental in creating awareness, identifying potential beneficiaries and facilitating linkages with departments implementing schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the efforts of the Employment Department in organizing such orientation programmes and urged all stakeholders to continue consistent engagement with youth to ensure that every eligible beneficiary avails the benefits of self-employment and livelihood schemes under Mission YUVA.

The Joint Director Employment, in his address, highlighted the role of the stakeholders in implementing Mission YUVA aimed at empowering the youth of Ramban district and elsewhere in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the importance of skill development, financial literacy and entrepreneurship in reducing unemployment and promoting sustainable income generation. The Joint Director further urged the participants to organise awareness sessions in panchayats. He emphasized mainly on quality application submission by the Youth. “YUVA Doots can guide each applicant effectively to ensure quality applications” he added.

During the technical session, Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar, along with other resource persons, provided detailed orientation on the role and responsibilities of (BHDs) and YUVA DOOTs. The participants were trained in maintaining data of unemployed youth, mobilization strategies and digital reporting mechanis

An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, wherein participants raised queries regarding eligibility criteria, documentation process and benefits of various employment schemes. The resource persons and officials addressed each query in detail, clearing doubts and providing practical guidance to the participants.
