Srinagar: The Army today paid tributes to Subedar Shailendra Singh Chauhan who died while on operational duty.
In a post on X, Army’s Srinagar based Chinar Corps said that they regret the unfortunate and untimely demise of Subedar Shailendra Singh Chauhan while on operational duty.
“His courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of the Braveheart. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and are committed to their well-being,” the post said.
While the Army didn’t reveal the exact cause of the soldier’s death, sources said Subedar Chauhan died due to a medical emergency.
