Anantnag |: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv-2025 Campaign and on occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, District Administration Anantnag through District Red Cross Society, organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with GMC, Health and Ayush Departments, Anantnag Wednesday at Khanabal.
During the camp, a number of volunteers, including personnel from the Police, Paramilitary Forces, and members of the general public, donated blood in the spirit of public service and as a mark of their commitment to humanitarian causes.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Khalid Parvez, hailed the efforts of all participants, especially the donors, and appreciated the initiative undertaken in Sewa Parv. He emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation in addressing medical emergencies and saving precious human lives.
Urging people to come forward and contribute to this noble cause, Dr. Parvez noted that blood donation is a safe practice and should be done by healthy individuals under proper medical supervision.
Secretary District Red Cross Society, Dr. M.Y. Zagoo, expressed gratitude to the donors besides the medical and technical staff for turning up in large numbers and making the camp a success.
The camp reaffirmed the community’s collective resolve towards service, volunteerism and social responsibility.
Officers from the District Administration, District Ayush Officer, BMOs and officials from GMC, Health, and Ayush Departments, along with other stakeholders, also attended the camp.
