Budgam |: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, a series of activities were organized across Budgam district Wednesday, highlighting the themes of community service, welfare, and farmer awareness.
At the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Campus Budgam, a special awareness program was organized with the Mission Director, Dairy Development as the Chief Guest.
The program aimed to sensitize farmers about various government schemes, particularly those accessible online through the Department of Animal Husbandry.
The Mission Director emphasized value addition in milk production, adoption of modern dairy practices, and the need to explore processing and packaging for enhanced profitability. Around 50 farmers from across the district participated actively and interacted with experts during the session.
Meanwhile, under Mission Shakti, the Social Welfare Department distributed Baby Kits at SDH Khansahib. The initiative aimed to promote maternal and child health, ensuring better care and support for infants and mothers under the Sewa Parv drive.
In another community service initiative, Adult Literacy Classes were conducted at multiple locations such as in Ishtique Memorial Girls Middle School, Drang and HS Sail Zone, Hardapanzoo.
These literacy classes provided an opportunity for community members to enhance their educational skills, reinforcing the message of empowerment through knowledge.
The activities held Wednesday reflect the multi-dimensional spirit of Sewa Parv reaching out to farmers, supporting mothers and infants, and fostering education at the grassroots level across Budgam.
