DDC Chairperson, DC other officers attend awareness session
Poonch | : An Awareness-cum-Capacity Building Camp under Sewa Parv was Saturday organized at the Fruit and Vegetable Market, Kankote, Poonch.
The event was graced by DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter, Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma and ADDC Pankaj Magotra.
Around 150 individuals, including members of SHGs, students from Degree College Poonch, farmers, traders, and beneficiaries of the government schemes, took part in the programme. District officers from all allied departments were also present.
The event commenced with a plantation drive in the office complex of AGMO Poonch, where the guests planted saplings as a mark of commitment towards a greener environment.
Awareness sessions were later conducted by AGMO Charankamal Singh; Chief Horticulture Officer Uttam Lal; Chief Agriculture Officer Yog Raj and other officers of allied departments. They shared insights on entrepreneurship opportunities in Horticulture, Agriculture and allied sectors.
Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma gave a detailed overview of the prospects of horticulture marketing and encouraged participants to avail benefits from government schemes and expand their ventures.
DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter appreciated the efforts of AGMO Office Poonch in organizing the camp and thanked all departments for their active participation in making the event a success.
