Srinagar | :  As a part of Sewa Parv 2025, J&K Employees State Insurance Society (JKESIS) Friday organised a “Swasthya Mela” in Kashmir under “Swasth Nari, Shashakt Parivar Abhiyaan”.

Labour Commissioner and Director JKESIS, S. Charandeep Singh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed active participation of FA/CAO JKESIS, Insurance Medical Officer BAMK, and dedicated staff of JKESIS, who played a pivotal role in organising the camp and ensuring seamless delivery of services to the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Labour Commissioner underlined the need to adopt healthy lifestyle practices for long-term well-being. He further appealed to insured persons (IPs) to submit their medical claims timely so that reimbursements can be processed speedily.

The Mela brought together a team of specialists from multiple disciplines who provided consultations, awareness talks, and preventive health check-ups. More than 200 insured persons (IPs) participated in the camp, availed health check-ups from the doctors’ teams, and actively interacted with them on health and lifestyle issues.

The medical team included Dr. Deeba, Consultant Psychiatrist from TELEMANAS IMHANS; Nida Nazir, Counsellor at TELEMANAS IMHANS; Sumaiya, Counsellor from DME, 500-bedded Govt. Children Hospital; Dt. Jayanti Divedi, Clinical Dietitian & Consultant Nutritionist at Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Superspeciality Hospital; Dr.Lopa Mudra, Surgical Oncologist (Consultant) at Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Superspeciality Hospital; and Mehreen, Medical Social Worker from DME, 500-bedded Govt. Children Hospital.

The “SwasthyaMela,” organised under SewaParv 2025, is part of JKESIS’s ongoing outreach efforts to ensure accessible healthcare, awareness creation, and empowerment of insured workers and their families, thereby contributing to a healthier and stronger workforce in J&K.
