DC assures timely resolution of genuine demands; distributes sanction letters, revenue certificates, sports kits among beneficiaries

Ganderbal | :: As part of the ongoing fortnight-long Sewa Parv celebrations, district administration Ganderbal Thursday organized a mega awareness-cum-grievance redressal camp in the lawns of the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The camp, presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, witnessed overwhelming participation from the general public who apprised the chair of various developmental concerns and local grievances.

Locals raised several community-based demands, including macadamization of roads, development of playfields, improvement of potable water supply, fencing of PHC Gutlibagh, completion of Guzhama Bridge, creation of an agriculture sub-division at Lar, development of new industrial estates, and provision of an attendant shed at District Hospital Ganderbal.

Addressing public demands, DC assured that issues raised will be resolved promptly.

On the sidelines, various departments had set up stalls to generate awareness about government schemes and provide on-the-spot registration for beneficiaries under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, Mission Yuva, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), ABHA ID, Social Security Schemes and J&K Bank initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that Sewa Parv is a citizen-centric initiative aimed at strengthening service delivery and building direct engagement between people and administration. He urged locals to take full advantage of the awareness stalls and register under various welfare schemes so that the benefits reach every eligible beneficiary.

He also called for active public participation in Sewa Parv, stating that it is not only a government initiative but also a collective effort of citizens to improve governance and development.

Later, DC distributed sanction letters under Mission Yuva, HADP and various other beneficiary-oriented schemes, revenue certificates, sports kits and other welfare benefits among the beneficiaries.
