Rajouri: At least three soldiers including a Major were killed when Pakistani troopers resorted to indiscriminate firing at Brat Galla Sector of Keeri Rajouri on Saturday. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh have tribute the slain soldiers
Army sources said that during the cross border mortar shelling and firing, three soldiers were killed. Another sources said that trio were killed while trying to foil an infiltration bid.
The deceased were identified as Major Prafulla, Sepoy Pargarh and Sepoy Gurmeet Singh. Lance Naik Gurmeet Singh suffered injuries and is out of danger, soruces added.
Pertinently, ADG P Indian Army in its latest tweet on December 21 claimed that Indian army conducted successful surgical strike on launchpads across the border.
“#IndianArmy successfully conducted surgical strikes on terror launchpads across the LoC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir(PoK) using ground forces, inflicting cant casualties on terrorist which was an unprecented action,” he tweeted.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh have in their statements have in their separate statements tributed the Army Major and three soldiers who were killed Saturday in an incident of cross border shelling at Keri sector in Rajouri distrct. The Chief Minister also conveyed sympathies to the families of slain soldiers. Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh while expressing condolences with the bereaved families prayed for eternal peace to their departed souls.
