Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma Tuesday convened a meeting with officers from the line departments to discuss arrangements for Navratri, Mahanavmi and Dussehra Festivals.
The meeting was attended by SSP Naresh Singh; ADC Pawan Kotwal; PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma; CEO KDA Kaiser Bhawani; ACR Idrees Lone; DIO Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, officers from other departments, besides representatives from Sanatan Dharma Sabha and Adarsh Dramatic Club.
The DC emphasized the need for interdepartmental coordination to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance.
The SSP was asked to formulate action plan to ensure proper security arrangements at all locations in the town and adjoining areas, including temples and the vicinity of Adarsh Dramatic Club. Additionally, the DC stressed on intensive night checking and patrolling within the town to keep a check on suspicious movement.
The Jal Shakti (PHE) Department was directed to take measures for adequate availability of safe drinking water, including the deployment of chlorinated water tankers at key locations such as Dharamshalla, Adarsh Dramatic Club Kishtwar and Chowgan Ground during the events.
The JPDCL was directed to make proper lighting arrangements at all temples, at Adarsh Dramatic Club, and other key locations, and provide a generator set at the Ramleela venue to facilitate the smooth conduct of the events. Stress was also laid on uninterrupted power supply during the festival days.
Tehsildar, AD FCS&CA and DO Food Safety and Drugs Control were directed to conduct market inspections to prevent overcharging and the sale of substandard food ite
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), District Hospital and the AYUSH Department were directed to establish First Aid Camps and ensure the availability of ambulance services at both the Ramleela and Dussehra venues.
They were also instructed to deploy sufficient medical staff with adequate healthcare facilities to address any medical emergencies or health-related needs during the festivities.
The AD Fire & Emergency Services was directed to deploy fire tenders at strategic locations, including Hidyal Chowk, Bus Stand and the Dussehra venue.
The CEO KDA and EO Municipal Council were directed to ensure cleanliness, lime-lining, and waste management en-route and at key temples and venues.
The representatives of Sanatan Dharma Sabha and Adarsh Dramatic Club Kishtwar actively engaged in discussions and gave valuable suggestions on a range of critical matters.
The DC, after patiently hearing to their demands, assured full support from the District Administration for the hassle-free celebration during the festivals.
