Srinagar : Director General J&K Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat emphasized the importance of sports events like Jashn-e-Dal in fostering connections between the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the community.
During the closing ceremony of Jashn-e-Dal, the DGP noted the increasing participation in the annual event, which has enlivened the atmosphere around Dal Lake. The DGP highlighted that such programs serve as a bridge between law enforcement and the public, enhancing community relations. He also recognized the accomplishments of police personnel in sports, mentioning a J&K Police constable’s recent victory in the Ladakh Marathon. This achievement underscores the dual role of the police in maintaining peace and excelling in sports, thereby motivating local youth to engage in positive activities. DGP Prabhat reiterated the police’s commitment to youth engagement through regular organization of cricket, football tournaments, and other sporting events, which are essential for promoting healthy and constructive pursuits among young people. Overall, these initiatives reflect the police’s vision of strengthening community ties while nurturing talent and discipline in the younger generation.
