7 people buried under landslide, four dead in cloudburst in Reasi, Ramban distts

Jammu|Aug,30 : At least four people were killed and one is missing in a cloudburst in Ramban, while seven of a family are buried under debris as heavy rains triggered a landslide in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials here said that four persons have died and one is missing in the Rajgarh area of Ramban. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh posted on X, “Just now spoke to DC Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan. Cloudburst in the Rajgarh area resulting in the unfortunate casualty of four persons.” He further said “The fifth one is missing, and the search is going on. Meanwhile, there are no injured. The rescue operation is on. Every possible assistance is being provided. I am in constant touch”.
Meanwhile, there are reports of a massive landslide that has struck a family shed in the Mahore area of the Reasi district. “It is reported that among the seven who are buried is a couple and their five children, who are all below the age of 10 years, and details are awaited,” they said.
