DC Kupwara hands over sanction letters to 48 beneficiaries under Mission Yuva

Kupwara | :  Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant BalasahebSuseMonday handed-over sanction letters among 48 beneficiaries for establishing their own business ventures under different sectors, in a function at Conference Hall D. C Office, here.

ADDC Kupwara, Mufti Fareed ud din; Lead District Manager, Tanveer Ahmad; Cluster Head, Branch Heads of J&K Bank and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner while interacting with the beneficiaries, expressed his good wishes to them for establishing their own business ventures. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the loan amount prudentially for their overall success in the field.

The DC directed the Bank officials to ensure speedy disposal of the cases under Mission Yuva so that maximum unemployed youth can get benefitted under the programme throughout the district.

Meanwhile, sanction letters amounting to Rs.3.25 crore were provided to 48 beneficiaries on the spot who shall establish their income generating units under various sectors.

These sectors include Dairy, Retail, Computer & IT, Pharmaceuticals and Medical and others.

It was informed that 155 sanction letters commensurating Rs.9.60 crore have been distributed till date among the youth for starting their business ventures under the Mission Yuva.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a review meeting on Mission YUVA in which 563 cases were approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC).

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Mufti Fareed Ud Din, AD Employment, LDM Kupwara, and officials from the Employment Department, District Industries Centre Kupwara, and other concerned.

Mission YUVA is a flagship initiative aimed at empowering and facilitating youth towards self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures, thereby enhancing livelihood opportunities across the district.
