Srinagar: The principal and teaching staff of the government higher secondary school Kangan was suspended on Thursday “for not starting winter coaching centre” at the institution despite the order.
An order issued by the Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo said that the school principal Muhammad Yousuf Hafiz was placed under suspension for non-compliance of orders regarding starting of winter coaching centre at his institution. “The principal has been attached in his own office and an inquiry has been instituted into the matter,” read the order.
It said that SDM Kangan visited the proposed coaching center. “It was found that center was not functioning as no teacher was present to teach the students,” it said.
Taking strong cognizance of the matter, DSEK has put all the teaching staff under suspension for “showing disregard and negligence of duty”.
