Kishtwar | :  A comprehensive review meeting of the Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma to assess the implementation and progress of various departmental schemes and initiatives.

At the outset, CAHO Kishtwar delivered a detailed Power Point presentation highlighting key departmental parameters, including bovine and poultry populations, milk and meat production, vaccination coverage, artificial insemination and deworming activities at the district level and the achievements under various ongoing schemes.

Emphasizing the need to further develop the poultry sector in Kishtwar, the DC directed the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kishtwar to submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for establishing a Poultry Hatchery in the district.

To bolster the functioning of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) engaged in milk processing, the DC instructed the department to explore financial and technical support options under schemes like the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) and PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME).

VASs from Marwah and Warwan were specifically directed to coordinate with their respective Tehsildars for uploading of registration and course completion data on the aforementioned portals.
