Srinagar | : Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir held a series of Entrepreneurship Bootcamps and Ideation Programs at KVK Ganderbal, KVK Budgam, and KVK Baramulla.

According to a statement issued from public relations office SKUAST-K here the events organised under Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project in Jammu and Kashmir (JKCIP), served as vibrant platforms to spark innovative thinking and create an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth to empower them as future startup founders.

The bootcamps were coordinated by Dr Abdul Rouf Khan, Manager Incubation, SKIIE Centre, SKUAST-K, and Dr Saadiya Naqash, Young Professional (Incubation), JKCIP. Their dedicated efforts facilitated dynamic ideation sessions, startup showcases, mentorship, and idea exchanges among participants and experts.

The events were graced by the respective Heads of the KVKs, each offering words of appreciation and encouragement:

Dr Waseem, Head KVK Baramulla, lauded the untiring efforts of the JKCIP team and SKUAST-K, calling their mission “a step toward the holistic uplifting of society.”

Dr Bilal, Head KVK Budgam, congratulated the JKCIP team for their visionary approach and expressed hope for “more such transformative initiatives in the near future.”

Dr Ajaz Ahmad Malik, Head KVK Ganderbal, emphasised the growing importance of self-sustainability in rural economies and underscored the vast scope of entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic landscape.

The bootcamps witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, students, and early-stage startup holders. Participants were not only exposed to tools for building viable business models but were also deeply motivated by success stories and mentorship sessions, leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence.

This impactful initiative reflects JKCIP’s commitment to nurturing local talent, catalysing entrepreneurship, and creating job creators instead of job seekers, thereby contributing to a more resilient and self-reliant Jammu and Kashmir.
