DC launches distt-wide celebrations; schools, colleges & departments join in large numbers

Budgam : The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign commenced Saturday with immense enthusiasm and patriotic spirit across district Budgam.
The campaign, being held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, is aimed to instill a sense of national pride and collective identity among citizens by encouraging the display of the national flag in every household and institution.
The inaugural day witnessed massive participation from schools, colleges, and institutions across all subdivisions of the district.
Special events including flag hoisting ceremonies, Tiranga rallies, awareness programs, cultural performances, and patriotic song competitions were held at educational institutions to mark the beginning of the campaign.
In addition to educational institutions, departments such as Handicrafts and Handloom, Rural Development, Social Welfare, ICDS, and Health actively joined the campaign. Officers and staff of these departments not only hoisted flags at their offices but also conducted outreach activities to spread awareness among the public.
The day also saw active participation of sub-divisional officers, BDOs, and field functionaries, who led the campaign in their respective jurisdictions. Flags were prominently displayed on government buildings, public spaces, and residential houses, reflecting the spirit of unity and patriotism.
Speaking on the occasion, DC stated that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is not just a symbolic gesture, but a reaffirmation of our commitment to the nation. It is heartening to witness the active involvement of every stakeholder in district Budgam from school children to government officers in celebrating our national pride. “Budgam is united in its message of patriotism, and I urge all citizens to participate wholeheartedly in the days to come,” he remarked.
He further said that the campaign will continue in the coming days with intensified activities including community outreach programs, Tiranga walks, cycle rallies, Tiranga concerts, flag distribution drives, and exhibitions.
He said that the district administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure wide-scale participation and awareness under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav framework.
