NC Chief commends Omar -led Govt to revive tourism post-Pahalgam terror attack
Srinagar |: Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference here on Wednesday appealed people of Jammu and Kashmir to transcend regional, religious, and linguistic divides to foster a more inclusive and prosperous society.
Addressing a public meeting Dr Farooq emphasized the importance of unity and collective resolve in protecting the region’s interests and countering divisive forces. He firther highlighted that the strength of the community lies in its diversity and called for all groups to unite for peace, development, and dignity. Dr. Farooq praised Omar Abdullah for his effective leadership in restoring confidence in the tourism sector following the Pahalgam terror attack. He commended the government’s prompt and sensitive response to ensure safety and stability in tourism areas, noting that proactive measures have begun to yield positive outcomes despite the initial shock from the incident. Reiterating the National Conference’s commitment to secularism, social justice, and unity, Dr. Farooq encouraged the youth to act as ambassadors of peace and progress. He also expressed condolences during visits to bereaved families, including Abdul Rasheed Nengroo and Advocate Bashir Ahmad Siddique, offering prayers for the departed souls and strength for the grieving families.
