Srinagar | :  The Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir, in collaboration with the All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers Association, Tuesday organized a day-long seminar at Lal Mandi, here, focusing on the vital role of Para-Veterinary professionals in the department.

The event was presided over by the Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives & Elections, Javid Ahmad Dar while MLA Sonawari, Hilal Akbar Lone and Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Shailendra Kumar, graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.

During the seminar, the President of the Association highlighted the immense dedication of Para-Veterinary professionals, particularly their work in high-altitude and difficult terrains during harsh winters. MLA Sonawari, Hilal Akbar Lone, also appreciated the dedication of the Para-Veterinary staff and underscored their role in ensuring effective service delivery at the grassroots level.

On the sidelines of the seminar, the Minister flagged off eight new pickup vehicles to be deployed across districts of the Kashmir division to strengthen the department’s field operations and improve service delivery to farmers.
