New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address over debate on “Operation Sindoor” in Lok Sabha on Tuesday highlighted the swift response of the Indian Armed Forces to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack through Operation Sindoor, which successfully targeted and destroyed terror launch pads in Pakistan within 22 minutes.
In his reply to the debate on operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha the Prime Minister declared the ongoing Parliament session as a “Vijay Utsav,” celebrating India’s military strength and national unity following the operation. Modi emphasized that the armed forces were granted autonomy to make strategic decisions during the escalation of conflict with Pakistan, particularly after the Pahalgam attack, which he described as a calculated attempt to incite violence in India. He expressed gratitude for the support from the Indian populace during Operation Sindoor, which he stated was a decisive response to terrorism. The Prime Minister asserted that the operation not only avenged the attack but also debunked Pakistan’s nuclear threats, demonstrating India’s technological capabilities and military readiness. He said that the operation inflicted significant damage on Pakistani airbases, with some still inoperable, and showcased India’s advancements in defense technology, including the use of domestically produced drones and missiles. PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring that those responsible for such attacks face severe consequences. He concluded by affirming that the world has recognized India’s military prowess and self-reliance through the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.
