MD NHM reviews progress on Mission’s schemes; calls for time bound execution

Srinagar | : Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary, Saturday conducted an extensive review of all ongoing NHM schemes, emphasising time bound achievement of targets set by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The Mission Director highlighted the critical importance of timely and measurable outcomes, asking all the officials and programme units to adopt a result-oriented approach to achieve the targets within defined timelines. He emphasized the necessity of qualitative and quantitative progress in each program, ensuring efficient service delivery and tangible health improvements across the Union Territory.

Major programs reviewed included Maternal and Child Health, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, Tele Radiology, Ambulance Services (102-108), Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK), the 104 Comprehensive Health Helpline, e-Sanjeevani Tele-Consultation, Disease Control Programs, ASHA Programme, DNB Programme, Quality Assurance, Bio-Medical Equipment Maintenance, National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), PM National Dialysis Programme Ayushman Bharat, Health & Wellness Centres and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary reiterated J&K NHM’s commitment towards strengthening the health infrastructure and furthering government initiatives for equitable health access. He called upon all the stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of transparency, accountability and dedication in implementing the health interventions and overcoming the challenges and achieving time-bound results.

The meeting concluded with a renewed determination among all the participants to intensify efforts and deliver exceptional outcomes in alignment with national health goal.

The meeting was attended by Director Planning, FA&CAO, State Nodal Officer, Divisional Nodal Officer Jammu/Kashmir along with all Programme Managers and Management Units.
