Srinagar | : As part of the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) J&K Thursday organized a live skit performance titled ‘Drug-Free Kashmir’ by the renowned Karambuland Folk Theatre at the revered ne of Hazrat Rahim Sahib (RA), Safapora.
The programme was aimed at raising awareness about the growing menace of drug addiction that is severely affecting the social fabric of our society. Through powerful dialogue, emotion, and traditional storytelling, the skit highlighted the devastating impact of substance abuse and the urgent need for collective action against it.
The occasion was graced by Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agricultural Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, as the chief guest. He was joined by Hilal Akbar Lone MLA and Nisar Naseem, former Director of All India Radio, as guests of honour.
All dignitaries lauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of community participation in the fight against drug abuse.
The local audience responded with deep appreciation and gratitude for showcasing such a meaningful and socially relevant performance.
