Srinagar: The Srinagar district administration on Tuesday said that restrictions will be imposed in parts of downtown Srinagar tomorrow in the wake of strike called issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).
“Complete restrictions will be imposed within the territorial jurisdictions of Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, M.R.Gunj and Safakadal police stations whereas there will be partial restrictions within the jurisdictions of Maisuma and Kralkhud police stations,” said a spokesman.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been placed under house arrest.
“Placed under #HouseArrest again, while the inhuman brutal killings of #Kashmiris including our young women continue and the collaborators who preside over them sing paeans of their masters!”tweeted the Mirwaiz.
JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik has called for a shutdown tomorrow against the civilian killings.
