Samba | : Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan Committee of Government Degree College, Vijaypur in conjunction with NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) organized a plantation drive on the campus.
The plantation drive was specifically organized under the “Anti-Drug/Nasha Mukt” campaign, which encourages planting trees as a means to divert students from drugs to health and environment.
The event aimed to promote a drug-free lifestyle which involved students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff and encouraged them in planting trees for a sustainable environment. The initiative was aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage a healthy, drug-free environment. The drive was organized under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashisht.
The participation of various stakeholders, including the NSS unit, college non-teaching members, emphasized the collective responsibility in creating a greener and healthier future.
The event was organized with full support of senior faculty members of the college including Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) and Dr. Arti Sharma (HOD EVS). The event was coordinated/organised by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology and Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Committee), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (HOD English and NSS PO).
