Jammu: Imran Raza Ansari, Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Tuesday.
Ansari briefed Governor about the functioning of various departments under his charge and the measures initiated to give impetus to sports, youth activities and related activities in the State.
Governor advised Ansari to very early issue a calendar of all the sports and games competitions which are planned to be organized in each of the 22 districts and at the State level in 2018. He also advised the Minister to see that the Sports Department organises Inter-State level Championships in identified sports and games to provide J&K youth opportunities to enhance their skills.
