Udhampur|: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, SaloniRaiThursday chaired a meeting of officers from various line departments to review the progress of Mission YUVA implementation in the district. The meeting focused on the sensitization of YUVA Doots, BHDs and SBDUs regarding the formulation and timely submission of DPRs under the Mission YUVA scheme.
At the outset, Deputy Director Employment UdhampurMohinder Kumar Sharma, gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the structure, roles and responsibilities of YUVA Doots, BHDs and SBDUs.
During the meeting, detailed information was presented regarding the current status of Mission YUVA in the district, including the number of applications received, processed, sanctioned and disbursed under various components of the scheme.
The DC took a thorough review of the performance of YUVA Doots, BHDs and SBDUs and emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation process. She directed the concerned officers to activate YUVA Doots at the grassroots level, set clear targets for application submissions, and ensure timely preparation and submission of DPRs.
Stressing the importance of community-level engagement, the DC instructed departments to conduct extensive awareness and sensitization programmes across all Panchayats to ensure maximum outreach and participation. She also urged all stakeholders to adopt a mission-oriented approach and work in close coordination to enhance youth enrollment under the scheme.
The DC further directed that daily monitoring of progress be undertaken at all levels, with special focus on timely case processing and DPR preparation at the BHD level to avoid delays in benefit disbursement to the youth.
