Srinagar|July,1: The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a charge-report in case FIR No. 06/2025 against one Bilal Ahmad Naikoo for allegedly submitting a fake middle pass qualification certificate in his service records.
Crime Branch Kashmir Of Jammu & Kashmir Police in a statement here on Tuesday said that the complaint, received by the Economic Offences Wing, indicated that Naikoo, who is employed as an MTS Watcher in the Forest Division Anantnag Range, managed to enter this forged certificate into his official documentation.
:The investigation revealed sufficient evidence to support the allegations of cognizable offences under Sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC)”, reads the Crime Branch Statement, adding therein that the case was investigated in accordance with the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 and was concluded within a 60-day time frame, Stating therein further that the charge-report has been submitted to the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate in Anantnag for judicial review and determination.
