Police organizes anti-drugs awareness rally in Handwara

Srinagar : Police in Handwara on Tuesday organized a significant Anti-Drugs Awareness Rally at Qalamabad Main Market. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness, particularly among the youth, about the harmful consequences of drug addiction and the collective responsibility of society to counter this growing threat.
The rally saw active participation from students of Higher Secondary School Qalamabad and Madrasa Qasim-ul-Uloom Shirhama, who marched through the bustling market streets carrying placards, banners, and raising slogans that called for unity against drug abuse. Their presence and enthusiasm added energy to the campaign and drew the attention of shopkeepers, pedestrians, and passersby.
Senior officers from Handwara Police, along with teachers and local dignitaries, were also present to lend support and motivation to the participants. The rally served not only as an awareness campaign but also as a message of solidarity and vigilance against the growing drug menace in society.
