Srinagar : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a Lok Adalat for Consumer cases at the District Court Complex, Mominabad, Srinagar.
The Lok Adalat, aimed at amicably resolving consumer cases, was held under the guidance of Shazia Tabassum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority and under the Supervision of Tasleem Arief, Chairman of the DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Srinagar.
To facilitate the amicable settlement of cases, a single bench was constituted for the Lok Adalat, that took up overall 14 number of cases for settlement, out of which 06 cases were settled and Rs 3,69,794 was awarded as settlement amount.
By organizing Lok Adalats, DLSA Srinagar continues its mission to provide equitable access to justice for all, ensuring that litigants can resolve their disputes quickly and amicably without the prolonged procedures typically associated with conventional courts.
