DC Kishtwar reviews execution of development works in Model Panchayats

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan chaired a meeting Tuesday to assess the implementation of the development plan in Model Panchayats of the district.
The initiative, spearheaded by the DC himself, aims to saturate 140 key developmental indicators in 13 identified Model Panchayats of the District. The goal is to use these Model Panchayats as a framework to replicate the developmental model across all 136 Panchayatsof the district.
A detailed presentation of key indicators was given by ACD during the meeting. After a detailed panchayat-wise review, the DDC issued specific directions to officers for timely implementation of various developmental activities.
The BDOs were directed to start construction of Anganwadi Centres and Panchayat Ghars in left out Panchayats among 13 Model Panchayats.
For establishment of Panchayat learning centres in Power Project affected villages, the BDOs were directed to identify land and submit the estimates so that funds are made available under the rehabilitation plan.
The progress of all key indicators including constitution of Self-help groups, implementation of Ladli Beti Scheme, green space expansion through intensive afforestation, renovation and geotagging of traditional and water bodies, , construction of houses under PMAY-G, Solarization under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and others were reviewed at the meeting.
The DC directed the stakeholder departments to achieve the saturation of all key indicators, with efforts directed towards bridging the gaps, if any. He emphasized the officers to take concrete measures to make the panchayats free from polythene and drugs.
The DC reiterated the importance of conducting regular visits by district and sectoral officers to the Model Panchayats to ensure timely execution of the developmental plans. The ACD was directed to furnish the list of District Officers who have not visited the Model Panchayats.
He highlighted the need for collaboration, innovation and collective effort to accelerate progress, ensuring that these Model Panchayats serve as the benchmark for the entire district.
The meeting was attended by senior officers including PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma; ACD Kaiser Bhawani; CPO Shahnawaz Bali; ACR Idrees Lone, BDOs, CDPOs and other key Officers and officials from various sectors.
