Doda Admin finalises Eid-ul-Azha arrangements

Doda: The arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha were Monday reviewed and finalized here at a meeting of stakeholder departments held in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Doda with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anil Kumar Thakur in the chair.
The meeting discussed action plans and tasks entrusted to different departments. Officials from police, Traffic police, Municipal Bodies, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, JPDCL, Jal Shakti, Food civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs gave updates on the arrangements made by their respective departments.
The ADC reviewed the arrangements made for sanitation around mosques, Eid-gahs and slaughterhouses, availability of clean drinking water, lighting in streets and markets and overall security. He directed the Municipal authorities to deploy sanitation teams and ensure street lights are functional.
The Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department was instructed to carry out health checks of sacrificial animals to prevent the spread of diseases. The Health Department was asked to set up medical aid camps near large congregation areas and keep emergency services standby.
The ADC also directed the formation of special market inspection teams to monitor the availability and pricing of essential commodities. The Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department was tasked with maintaining adequate stock of essential commodities and preventing black marketing or hoarding.
The Fire and Emergency Services department was instructed to station fire tenders at key locations. Departments such as PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti and JPDCL were directed to take measures to maintain roads, water pipelines and the power distribution network during the festive days.
Stakeholders including representatives from the Beopar Mandal, Bazaar Association, Butcher Association and Legal Traders Association also shared their concerns and suggestions.
ADC Anil Kumar Thakur emphasized the importance of maintaining communal harmony, field-level monitoring and close inter-departmental coordination for a safe and joyous Eid-ul-Azha celebration. The meeting was attended both in person and virtually by SDMs, officers from various engineering wings, law enforcement and civil departments.
