Kulgam: Government Degree College (GDC) Frisal in collaboration with district administration Kulgam on Wednesday organised an awareness program on ‘The Science of Addiction, Drugs and Mental Health,’ under the banner of IEC Campaign Against Drug Abuse-2025, within College Conference Hall, here.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College, Dr.Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah emphasized the role of educational institutions against Drug Addiction and how youth can control the menace in the society.
Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, resource person from district administration highlighted the technical points about drug addiction and its adverse impact on health and wealth.
M Aslam Dar, resource person from Education Deptt deliberated on the importance of such programs in educational institutions in controlling the menace of Drug addiction in the society.
Staff members, students of the college and many guests from civil society, district administration and Deptt. of Social Welfare Kulgam attended the program.
