Poonch : The District Administration Poonch has initiated the process to disburse relief under the Security Related Expenditure (SRE) scheme to border shelling affected population.
To examine the relief cases, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting here Tuesday wherein the verification reports and assessment documents were thoroughly scrutinized to maintain transparency and fairness in the relief process.
The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and the District Sheep Husbandry Officer.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner briefed the chair that a significant number of cases have been received, examined and subsequently placed before the Committee for consideration. Additionally, several cases were presented by the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and the District Sheep Husbandry Officer.
After careful examination, genuine and deserving cases were approved under the respective categories of fully damaged, severely damaged, and partially damaged. The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all affected families receive appropriate assistance based on actual ground level assessments.
