Distt-level NCORD committee meeting held at B’pora

Bandipora: A meeting of the District-Level Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) Committee was convened on Monday at the mini secretariat Bandipora to review and strengthen the ongoing measures against drug abuse in the district.
The meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, and was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, DySP, district officers from various departments, and other concerned.
During the meeting, ADC took a comprehensive review of the anti-drug activities, awareness campaigns, and enforcement actions undertaken by various departments.
He emphasized the need for multi-departmental coordination, and targeted outreach programmes, particularly among the youth, to effectively counter the menace of drug abuse.
ADC directed the concerned departments to intensify IEC (Information, Education & Communication) activities, strengthen surveillance mechanisms, and ensure timely sharing of actionable inputs.
