Jammu : A medical camp was organised on Friday at Village Dhanna Dhanu in Block- Chowki Chaura, Akhnoor jointly by Indian Army, specifically, Chenab Rangers and the local Sub Divisional Administration.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of SDM Ankush Hans, Tehsildar Pramod Kumar, Panchayat Secretary Dhanna Jalara, Mandeep Chib, ex-Panchs and Lambardars of nearby villages and spirited local villagers.
The aim of the medical camp was to provide health care facilities to people residing in far flung villages of the hilly parts of Akhnoor Sub District.
A joint Medical team of Indian Army and Government Hospital, Chowki Chaura comprising 4 doctors including a lady doctor and one pharmacist and four nursing assistants extended their services for betterment of the local population.
Apart from the medical consultation, free life-saving medicines were also provided to the patients at the camp. The camp received an overwhelming response from the nearby local villages to include senior citizens, ladies and children who benefited from the medical camp.
