Chairman DLSA B’pora reviews preparations for 2nd National Lok-Adalat rescheduled on May-31

Bandipora: As a preparatory measure, a meeting of all the judicial officers was held Tuesday to review preparations for the upcoming 2nd National Lok Adalat, scheduled on 31st of May.
The meeting was chaired by Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District and Sessions Judge), Bandipora, and attended by Sushil Singh, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Bandipora; Iqbal Ahmad Akhoon, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bandipora; Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora; Amandeep Singh, Additional Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate, Bandipora; Munsiff/ JMIC, Sumbal and Munsiff/ JMIC, Gurez.
During the meeting, discussions centered around identifying cases amenable to amicable settlement during the upcoming National Lok Adalat.
Chairman DLSA, Bandipora stressed judicial officers to verify the records and identify cases in all categories which are fit for settlement and to focus on old pending cases to be taken up in the said National Lok Adalat.
He directed judicial officers to conduct Pre- Lok Adalats sessions for all identified matters/cases with conciliation sittings before the scheduled date of the National Lok Adalat, so that the opportunities for negotiations may be offered to the parties to arrive at an amicable settlement.
The meeting emphasized the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms in reducing pending cases.
During the meeting, all judicial officers exchanged valuable insights, discussed crucial agendas, and formulated an action plan to execute the 2nd National Lok Adalat flawlessly and successfully.
Moreover, Chairman DLSA, Bandipora stressed for settlement of Pre-Litigation matters and also directed that interested parties be made aware who desires to settle their cases in the said National Lok Adalat.
As such all the interested parties who desire to settle their pre-litigation matters can approach the office of Secretary, DLSA Bandipora for settlement in any working day from Tuesday onwards.
