Jammu:In order to review the progress of handing over the land for construction of Ring Road in Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu convened a meeting with concerned senior officers, here Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Adm) Jammu, ACR Jammu, SDM Jammu North, SDM R S Pura, and SDM Jammu South.
During the meeting, ACR informed the Deputy Commissioner that in village Jagti, 129 Kanals of land acquired for Ring Road has been handed over to Project Director NHAI.
While seeking details of land identified for the project, SDM North informed that land in all four villages namely Bhalwal, Kangrail, Kote, Kheri has been handed over to NHAI.
Further SDM R S Pura apprised the meeting that land in villages Malikpur, Ban Sultan Darsopur, Maralia and Kotli Mian Fateh has been handed over to PD NHAI.
The meeting was told that in total, 2778K-16M-06 sarsai of land has been handed over to NHAI for the said project.
Deputy Commissioner directed the SDMs to hand over the acquired land to NHAI of remaining villages as per the schedule provided. He asked them to expedite the process of disbursing land compensation to the owners whose land is acquired for the construction of Ring Road.
