Rogi Kalyan Samiti reviews patient care services in Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu

Jammu: The Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu hosted a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS), a patient welfare committee, to discuss and implement initiatives aimed at improving Patient care services.
The meeting was chaired by MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa (Chairman of the committee) and attended by Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr. Harbaksh Singh; Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr, Balvinder Singh and the members from other departments like PWD, PDD PHE, AYUSH , Information, ICDS, eminent members — Dr. Sunita Puri, Rahul, EX-corporator, Akhill along-with staff of Government Hospital Gandhinagar Dr. Sanjeev, Dr. Poonam Manyal and Dr. Ruchita Mahajan.
The meeting focused on the quality improvement initiatives, patient amenities such as improving hospital infrastructure & providing support to patients who are admitted without any attendants. They discussed different patient safety protocols, implementation of staff dress code & the ways to overcome the shortage of staff in different departments of the hospital. This was followed by discussion on agenda points framed for the meeting of the RKS. It was noted that the Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu is situated in the heart of the city catering to nearby urban & rural population & strengthening of health care facilities in this hospital is must to fulfill the needs of the general public.
The Chairman took a detailed tour of the hospital campus including Pediatrics ward, OPD Block, Blood Bank, Maternity Ward, MICU & interacted with patients, their attendants and elicited the patient response for working of staff of Govt Hospital Gandhinagar. He directed the staff to work with Zeal and enthusiasm in the interest of patient care and also admired the efforts of staff in providing patient care.
The meeting was concluded by a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries who were present on the occasion by Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Balvinder Singh.
