Jammu : Police in Jammu on Monday said that a major action was taken against illegal liquor trade with the seizure of a large quantity of illicit liquor in Mishriwala area.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office Jammu Police said that during routine patrolling, the team of Police Station Kanachak recovered 80 bottles of JK Special Whisky (180 ml each) from the possession of one Jasbir Singh, S/O Karan Singh, R/O Mishriwala, Tehsil Bhalwal, adding therein that Following the seizure, a case under FIR No. 68/2025 was registered against the accused under Sections 48(a) and 48(f) of the Excise Act at Police Station Kanachak.
Stating that investigation of the case is underway Jammu Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reaffirmed its commitment to curb illegal activities and appealed people to cooperate with it by sharing inputs about such activities.
